I grew up in Bend and returned to Central Oregon to raise my son who is now in college. I have over 25 years of experience working with children, teaching, and school volunteer work. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and currently pursuing a second degree in Early Childhood Development. As an ECE practitioner and an advocate for the young child, it is my joy to provide stimulating and engaging environments, make connections with families, and aid in shaping empathetic communities. I define myself as an individual whose creativity and wonder about the world, near and far, will influence children in exploration, leading to higher levels of thought. I have studied many pedagogies, principles, and philosophies and believe all children are entitled to quality education with lasting experiences, the use of imagination and creativity in their play and understand all parents want the best for their child. As a school community we learn together, and as an educator, it is a privilege to provide and learn alongside.

Special Projects

I am the muscle behind the brain. I share “The Boss’s” passion for creating learning environments, take her inspirations, gathered from the children’s thoughts and interests, and make them a reality. I am a proud U.S. Army veteran and have extensive experience in business management. I have the gift of being forever young, in that I am able to continually use my imagination to add to Kidinc’s unique learning environment by creating places to learn. We can become chefs, carpenters, archeologists, or we can go wherever our imaginations lead us. My hobby is collecting and building whatever is necessary to stimulate the young, and not so young, minds.

I am the hand the helps create the image the "Boss" has for this school. I earned early acceptance to the Portland Art Institute but believed that my future career was not in art, thus it is the road I did not walk upon. Nevertheless, I have a long background from creative writing to ceramics, oil painting to web design. I spent nearly my entire high school career as a gymnastics/acrobatics instructor which is where my specialty in nutrition, body movement, and discipline stem from. When Chantelle approached me with her vision, I fell in love; when I saw her going for it, I just knew I had to get on board. Although I'll be doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work I plan on stepping in on class time to help create fantasy filled worlds, help do projects to encourage young children's creativity, and help strengthen the most important muscle in the body ( the mind ). I'm proud of what Kidinc is and what it can do for young minds and bodies of the future.
